Dwarf bean - Opera
« on: May 05, 2010, 10:21 »
No...it's not a new choral work! :D
I've had terrible trouble with this small white-seeded variety of French bean and wondered if anyone else has?
First batch ALL rotted and second batch only 5 have germinated from 15 seeds and 2 of those are malformed with no growing tip. :( Fresh compost was used and they were started on the window sill. The Purple Teepee are fine.
Have started some Delinel now.

What about chitting some on wet kitchen roll in the airing cupboard.  Would give you an idea of how viable they are.
