Planting white current
« on: April 19, 2010, 09:47 »
I have a black current, raspberrys  and some gooseberrys. I have just bought a white current from Wilkos for a mere £4 (I had to swap it as the first one had powdery mildew) It is about a foot and a half tall.

Is it too late to plant it in the garden or will it do just as well in a pot. I have bought some blood fish and bone to put in when I plant it.

They're very hardy plants and would live even without soil for a while, so yes, plant it now with whatever goodness you can add to the soil. Water well at planting time.
