yellowing garlic
« on: April 18, 2010, 16:05 »
I planted my garlic last autumn and was very pleased to see it coming through very strongly after being buried under about 3ft snow for about 3 months.  It is growing well but have noticed the stems becoming quite yellow.  Should I apply some general nitrogenous fertiliser to give it a boost?  I am presuming that it is lack of nutrients causing this or is there something else I am overlooking?

Thannk you Lardman - will give a dose of Growmore and hope for the best - probably been too much rain/snow.

They don`t want Growmore, they want a high nitrogen fertiliser such as Nitrate of Soda or Sulphate of Ammonia. ::)
