It's miserable up north and within 20 mins of letting them out they looked a bit damp. Will they keep dry either by going in or under the coop? Or will they just stay out and get soaked?  Thanks again.

some of mine run and hide under their shelters but others don't bother. So don't worry they will get out of the wet if and when they want

mine tend to stay out and get soggy, then hide for a bit under something, and then venture out and get re-soggy again..

Mine always look bedraggled in the rain as they still go out foraging!  They do take shelter under a big conifer when it gets too windy, but mostly they get wet!

mine are out in the garden all day and hide under the table and bushes but if anyone comes out of the house they appear hoping for treats.

Mine love the wet weather. Especially the smallest May. By the end of the day they look like punk chickens and are rather cold. The've only got themselves to blame!
