White Fly in compost bin

Well title says it all I lift the lid of my bin and a cloud of white fly come out - should I spray it last thing I want to so is infest my plot or my neighbours or is it part and parcel??

Sometimes its part of the process when you add certain things that attracts those white fly. Don't spray. Just pull off the dalek, shift the contents to one side, replace the dalek in its spot and return the contents, but fluffed out and mixed well, and when complete add some water on top to get it cooking again. That will naturally kill off all the little beasties.
