Moved a big sheet of black plastic this morning. It's been protecting the earth from weeds rain etc.
The soil looks great really loose and fluffy!
What i didn't like was the population of green and yellow massive big fat slugs!! There were plenty of those little slippery brown type slugs the kind that you find on the leaves of your precious greens after dark! They're like children that have wandered into the strawberry patch, and just can't stop eating!
How many types of slug are there in british gardens? I've only seen the big fat green and yellow type in drains before. There were no black slugs? Though I have seen them around the garden.
Anyone know of a good web site with slug info?
