If i use cider vinegar as one of my girls has a dirty vent area (feathers look as if she may have runny poo's) will i still be able to eat the eggs or will they have to be discarded for a while ?? 

is it safe to do all the 5 girls or do i have to seperate her ??

every so often I put apple cider vinegar (make sure its not the shop bought stuff but the cloudy stuff from horsey places) and a garlic clove in my chickens water. They all have it and the eggs are perfectly safe to eat. Not sure if it will clear her runny poohs up - it may be just that she has very fluffy nicker feathers and doesn't drop them far enough down  .
Wash her off and dry her thoroughly (just to make sure she doesn't get blo fly or a chill).

I thought we needed to put cider vinegar into the water all the time I will have to just use it every so often.

I bought some of this but haven't used it yet.  Do you just put a small amount in their water?
