Thanks Iain. Did I mis-remember your experiment last year where you planted some polypots in the ground - buried - and they "contained" the spuds so were easier to harvest? (Plus, presumably, you could start the Polypots off indoors)

I'm imagining something half-way between 3" pots and 17L: Polypots! perhaps a12" diameter liner, or thereabouts, but maybe I have mis-remembered

Yes that is what to do with the polypots and I have 100 filled inside my greenhouse just waiting to go out side. Once you have tried it there is no going back. It takes a little bit longer to prepare things at the start but harvest time is so easy. :D
