I've got different varietys of tomatoes in pots on the bedroom window sill they are growing well but theres some sort of mould growing on the compost, anyone now why and will it harm the seedlings. :ohmy: ::)

Sounds like the soil/mix might be too damp and is causing a fungus called damp off. It can kill seedlings. Stop watering for a while and this will help, but if it gets worse you'll need to spray with a specific damping off solution or cool camomile tea which is a good fungus killer. You might also want to keep this tomato in a sunnier window to help kill off this fungus.

compost too wet , add some sharp sand to compost , mix well re-pot
