I haven't grown them for a couple of years and have forgotten the best time to plant them  .

It's likely I'll still get a few frosts up here, but nothing forecast for the immediate future.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi Fletch,
I've just admitted on the"what you did on the allotment today" thread to planting my onion sets this afternoon,
The warm weather lulls one into a false sense of security,
I hope I don't regret todays planting

fletch, I'm in Oldham and mine are going in this weekend, but I'll keep some fleece handy just in case.

Oh well if yours are going in then so are mine!  I have quite a bit of spare fleece, I'm guessing I'll only need to cover them if a frost is forecast?

I planted mine just over a week ago and theyve just started to come up. A bit sluggish due to the cold, but they're growing!
