Lots of people do use it, though it isnt organic

All application info is on the back of the pack  :D

Growmore does not contain Ammonium Nitrate, but does contain some or all of the following:

Ammonium sulphate
mono and di-ammonium phosphate
normal (single) Superphosphate
triple Superphosphate
rock phosphate
potassium chloride (muriate of potash)
potassium sulphate
calcium nitrate
urea formaldehyde
inert fillers such as sand or limestone
coating materials such as oil
amine, clay or talc, secondary nutrients and/or micro-nutrients.

I wait till one of my 260L barrels is full of water and then dump in 2L of liquid Growmore.  Lasts all summer.

not sure when you asked if it was organic.A handfull a week or two before planting or sowing things that need a nitrogen boost, such as green salad or spuds.

Growmore is a balanced (albeit inorganic) fertiliser which if used as per instructions will benefit poor or average soil and therefore the crops you grow in it (as will pelleted chicken manure, Blood, fish and bone (unless you have an urban fox problem!), phostrogen, Miracle-Grow, or even pee-ing on your soil for goodness sakes!).

It has been around since WW2 (when it was patriotically named "National Growmore"!); I'm not aware that anyone has been harmed as a result of using this product!  :nowink:
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

However, it only lasts in the soil for 10 to 14 days. Whereas F,B and B is viable for 30 days plus.
