Sowing plug plants

Hi all,        Is  it  to early  to sow  parsnips and   swede   in plug  trays.  any advice  please.   Michael

Probably OK with parsnips, but it'll be way too early for swede as these are not sown in open ground until May/June.

I won't be sowing parsnips until late March at the earliest.

What is it with all the rush?  Even if you get a head start with the seedlings, you've still got to put them out into cold ground.

It's been a long hard winter and lots of folk are desperate to get going, but I agree with DD that if you ignore the restrictions imposed by the British climate you are inviting disappointment.  :(

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!
