cheers JayG - I checked mine last night after your post and there were one or two 'upside down'!

Others have about 8 different sproutings on them - should I remove a few?

Think this is another potential "parapet-ducking" question!

I believe the usual advice is that planting with only 3 or 4 chits leads to fewer but larger spuds, more chits means more but smaller spuds.

Having said that. I just plant mine as they are and take what comes!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Fair enough, cheers for the response.

As this is my first year planting spuds i'll leave 'em as i'll just be happy to actually get some! Maybe next year i'll experiment with less but larger?
