I don't know the answer, but I'd be interested as there's plenty sheep poo in the fields surrounding me. :) It never crossed my mind before...

it should be the same, they both eat grass and as long as its well rotted it should be fine!

Collect it up and put it in a bag of water to make a tea . perhaps?

I think John's book has the element break down.

It's not as strong as horse poo..ie lower Ni levels.

I think this is due to that there's bedding material in the horse muck most of the time that has soaked up the urea?

Hi I use sheep manure that has been cleaned out of the sheds - so it has straw in it, I find it just as good as horses, would be a bit hard to pick it up from the fields though.

I add sheep muck to my compost. Not too difficult to collect as the sheep on the marsh tend to follow regular paths and drop it as they go so you can go along and clean up after them. Nice thing is it's usually quite dry but I still wear rubber gloves  ;)

I know this is late but I have no access to field sheep manure so I must buy certain composted manures in bags. My first choice is always sheep, same with most of the master gardeners I know. The numbers may not indicate it, but we all find sheep poo gives us the best results over horse and cow poo, especially in the flower gardens.
