i have this problem every year, i never know bow much of what to buy

this is what i have bought

earlys

pentland javlin 6kg
rocket               3kg
int kidney          2.5kg

mains

cara                   7.5kg
romano              5kg

does that sound like iv gone mad or have i not got enough lates, i would like some to store

25 kg is a lot of spuds.

What space have you allocated them?

hope all is well.

i have 2 allotments so not worryed if 2/3 of one gets planted with pots.

the one im planting my pots on this year is 14ft x 95ft long

You should be OK for space, then!

How much you get depends on so many variables, I never really measure mine, just happy with what get. If they're slug hole free, so much the better!

You should have enough there for at least 12 x 30 ft rows.

yeah very true, lost a few to slugs last year so was advised to put a few pellets in my trenches, dont know if thats right of not.

dave you could maybe help me on this, i havent got power to the greenhouse yet to heat it but can put my seed potatoes out on the bench if i lay bubble wrap over them?

didnt want to harm them

Fleece would be better than bubble wrap as the bubble wrap would allow them to stay wet and go mouldy
