... good grief, I've come back to my allotment after a week away and one of my baby plants has a cauli head on it ... about the size of a golfball.  The plant is no more than four leaves and about 8 inches high ... the head looks a bit pinky/purply round the edges.

Do I let it grow and hope it's OK?

Or remove the flower or what??

I think that's all you'll get out of that plant.   How was the holiday BTW?  Bet you missed us all.  The postcard hasn't arrived yet.  :cry:

Yes, I agree, if you can see the head, it's not going to get much bigger. Never had much luck with caulis, apart from over winter ones, due to club root.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
