Narcissus

Whilst making a half hearted attempt to tidy the garage earlier I came across a bag of narcissus bulbs, now I know I'm too late for the spring but what's the best way to store them until the autumn? Many thanks, Hey Jude.

IMO they will stand no chance of keeping till autumn. Get them in asap may not flower properly this year but stand a chance (if well fed) of flowering next year. :)
In the bag they stand no chance

Agree with MoS - plant them asap and wait for blooms next year when they've recovered.

I always use a simple rule

-- in the bag: no chance
-- in the ground: some chance

Thanks everyone, my new years resolution (amongst many) is to plant as soon as I buy something instead of ' I'll do that later in the week'!!

I was given a pack of 5 or so Narcissus bulbs for Christmas, the only trouble is that the ground has been too hard to plant them :(.

Plant them in a wide pot and you can then move the whole contents into the ground  later  :D :D
