Definately not!!! Mind you it is the first time they have seen the snow. 24 ex batts and only 3 braved the porridge this morning, my RIR looked out and made a prompt about turn!

Mine are not keen either. OH cleared the snow off their roof so they had some daylight and it did not drip on them.

Note slight lack of chickens in this pic - they rushed out for food and then holed up inside

so are mine.  From the footprints they've been around the edge of the covered run but that's it.  They were all in bed before dark too!

I should have taken a video of my orpingtons, for such a big bird, they sure are soft :)

The rest of the chics seemed to enjoy it :)

Oh bless!  I love your pictures of your girls!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

Mine have been holed up in their coop for 2 days now and just won't be coaxed out. I'm worried that they're not eating or drinking but am reluctant to put the food and water in the coop as I know it will get tipped everywhere. At least they seem nice and warm, I've put my hand in a couple of times for a stroke and they are lovely and toasty.

You cruel thing, you might have put some carpet down for them
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
