Hello,new to the site and looking for help please,

My lovely Treacle(pheasant type Leghorn)is having problems today,She has passed white strands of soft egg shell and I had to remove remains of another,she is not looking her usual cheeky self and is a bit trembly and her tail is down and feathers are ruffled

I have not come across this problem before in my chucks and was wondering if anyone else has.Is it a symptom of something other than a blip in her egg production? She is around 24wks old so fairly new to egglaying.

As she has just started egg laying it does sound like a blip.  Make sure she has plenty of calcium in her diet.  Crushed oyster shell  to take as she chooses is usual for all hens.  I would also give her some limestone flour as she seems to be having a problem at present.

Thanks auntsally,will get along to chuck supplys ASAP.I am hoping Treacle is ok in the morning,she looked so sorry for herself today.

Treacle is fine and perky this morning thanks,out enjoying the sunshine and a digestive biccy with her pals.
Will get the supplies recommended by Aunt sally and some chicken spice too as a pep up for them all .
