new plot...raised beds.

thanks to all who helped on my last post.  since then ive aquired quantity scaffold planks,cut to size to make 8ft x 4ft raised beds..   i dug the soil over inside area of beds,then put layer of cardboard.followed by soil dug from allotment boundary  ,mixed about 40% of rotted manure and added 3/4 bags compost.hopefully these will make 3 good beds to start with . the area ive dug the soil from will hopefully act as a drainage channel and divert some surface water away aswell as acting as fill for beds..time will tell ....
