please tell yur silkie to tell my white sussex how to stay clean my girls where white but umm  now more of a mud colour an yes the run is damp an wet but theres no mud now thanks to the chips  if only i could use daz washing powder on them

did you just put the chips on top of the mud or did you put something underneath?our pen is quite large hubby tipped 2 large bags in as a stop gap when it got really bad ,but its all sunk and dissapeared .I think we may need quite a lot to put a decent layer down , at the moment we are having at least a shower of rain every day so no sign of it drying out yet!

i just pile a truck load in there on top of the mud and let the girls spread it around they loveeeeeeeeeee doing that .

have u tried calling any local tree surgeons u can get loads of it ethier for free or a small price , i can get £20 , £30 , or £40 loads , the £20 one is at least 80 wheel barrow loads and i hate the job
