hello everyone  :tongue2: the rapahoe has a dilema concerning raised beds. do i lay the inside of my beds with card board before i load my topsoil in .obviously the card will deteriate but wont that be good for the ground any way or shall i put soil on soil?

Why would you use cardboard? Before you add the new soil, be sure to turn over the existing soil. :D

If you havnt weeded, the cardboard would help to suppress the weeds but perenials will still get you  :ohmy:  Dig and weed then put in the cardboard then the top soil .

thanks alby   :tongue2: where you from in bronte country then .interested as we come up from the midlands twice a year and stay in cresswell hoping to move up there eventually .so i take it there are plenty of allotments ?

Not far away from cresswell, Morpeth ? you know it ? Allottments are getting scarce now unless you hide one away as i do up a bridle path  :D
