Lash
« on: November 11, 2009, 20:23 »
Hey everyone,

I have asked before what a small creamy lump was when it was laid and found it was a lash. Now im wondering if it means my hens have stopped laying or not. There are mixed reviews with some saying that there chicken stopped laying after a lash and others who said there chickens were fine.

I have 11 ex-bats and I have had a lot of lashes since having them. Possibly about 8. We had a massive one this morning about the size of a small egg ( disgusting) and no one has laid today. They have never been massive layers ( thats not why i rescued them) so doesnt matter if they dont but just wondering.

Anyway can you share your stories with me if your chooks were ok or stopped laying.

Thanks
Em

I've found a couple but we're still getting 3 eggs a day from 4 ex-batts :)
two daughters, nine hens, two goldfish, three cats ...
