Any ideas why my celeriac failed to swell into a sizeable root (again!) The celery growing alongside also failed to produce anything much above pencil size stalks.
I'd grown them from seed in the greenhouse but both were very slow to germinate - perhaps that knocked their growing season back?

Both celariac and celary need a long growing season and lots of water. If you are in a part of the country that has experienced drought this year that may be the problem.

need starting off very early under some heat and glass...... even so mine this year suffered with the lack rain.....  watering does help but without the rain at the right time its problamatic

east yorks , our celeriac had too much manure , also need to have them in earlier next year , going to start them of in february instead of june

Hi, mine were poor in norfolk too dry i think, usually very good but i agree start them off early.
