Too much grit?
« on: May 11, 2007, 13:35 »
Hi, I'm new! Got my 2 girls on Sunday and they seem to be doing OK. At the moment they are confined to their run with a view to letting them roam the garden once they've settled in. I've been scattering a small handful of grit on the floor of their run every other day. Is this too much/not enough? They're either hiding it or eating it as there doesn't seem to be any left after a couple of hours.

Love reading all the posts and am sure I'll have plenty more questions as the days go on!

I just put grit into a dish hung on the run wall.  I always keep it topped up and they Take what they want.  :D

I just pop a few handfuls into an old flowerpot, if they are free ranging they will naturally pick up grit/sand etc from grubbing around ...hopefully not in your flowerbeds!!
