Took shirley to vet first thing this morning. Whilst in waiting room she passed a relatively soft shelled egg. Vet managed to release some of the contents. shes had antibiotic injection and has more antibiotic for five days. She has eaten practically nothing but has had several drinks of water. She looks shattered. Shes been inside all day on advice of vet and has had a little mooch about occasionally. hopefully she will recover. I wonder if she is the hen that has not been laying as we still got five lovely eggs this morning. she has runny poo with what looks like pale yolk in it. Anyway shes just started to peck at a bit of chopped cabbage!

Oh bless her. She will be in a bit of shock after all she has been through so just keep her warm and quiet and she should soon be back to normal.

You could make her some warm mash.
