I`m probably wrong, but it looks like navelworts to me. A member of the Omphalodes family. To get rid of it, spray with Glyphosate.

Could be comfrey - very useful as compost and fertiliser, but can be very invasive (depending on variety)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

it is fantastically invasive!!! i cannae get rid of it.....

Will continue to glyphosate it, have been painting the leaves so i don't kill other plants/insects nearby.

That looks like small comfry (Bocking 14), ur lucky,  I can't get all mine to grow, don't destroy it all, wait to see if it flowers, then show another pic.  If it is comfry try not to dig, or damage the root, as it will multiply.

look forward to next pic

BTW 10 pieces of root on ebay about £8 +p+p

If its comfrey, and you've had it all summer, then you should have seen some purple flowers, and also comfrey grows to about 18" high.

some of the plants are massive!

Wow, pretty handy if its comfrey, i can fertilise my plot with it.

It did have blue flowers early in summer, its so invasive its spreading into the lawn! I hate the stuff!! i dug up loads of root today and could post it out to people if they want some! And yeah it is hairy! urgh nasty weed....

It's everywhwere, i'll probably kill off most of it and replant some in a small raised bed to keep it under control.

It seems to get mildew very easily....

I think it is alkanet http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/alkanet.htm

Comfrey is invasive - but not that invasive.

i've got it in my garden and allotment and know it as wild borage. it's a pain. but i found that the bees loved it so i left a wild patch at the plot just for them. if you can catch the plants and pull them up before the taproots take hold you can keep it under control and stop it spreading.
