I've asked in 2 local feed/supply stores and neither have heard of diatom. I would like to try and source a wholesaler or manufacturer that I can pass on to the shops on the off chance they can get it cheape than online price + postage.

If anyone has some with contact details on the tub other than an online poultry shop I'd be grateful.

I buy mine from twopotsbantams, cambridge. if colin not local enough to you, give him a ring and ask him where he gets it. I've always found him really helpful.

Cheers Looby and IMO. I think mail order is a bit pricey for anything over a few hundred grams. Rather get my local place trained up.

Rob, my Diatom is by a company called Biolink Ltd., tel 01430 876 611, perhaps your local supplier could give them a call? Got mine off the internet so would be interested in buying local as well

If you do get this sorted I would be grateful to know the answer. My local feed store had never heard of it either and they are poultry keepers.

Perhaps, if it is allowed, you could put it on as a thread?

Hi I buy huge tubs and dispense into shakers, it works out cheaper that way, even with the cost of postage factored in. If you want Rob for the cost of postage can send you some!

As above they can buy it through Bio-link, but there is a large minimum order which may put off some shops. They could phone bio-link and ask them if there is a local wholesaler.

That could explain a lot si-mate. I'll suggest that they may get more customers if they stock it. There's a lot of us round these parts and it's a good store.
