Going on Holiday on Sunday, should I defoliate these to be on the safe side ?

what type are they and how long have they been in the ground? looks like die back to my non expert eye.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

They have about finished their useful life anyay so I would remove them.

they are desire and have been in since easter, I am going to remove the leaves and leave them in the ground whils I am on holiday
