Vets then asap - don't know what the treatment is but you also have the risk of the others having caught it as well  :(. Good luck and keep us posted, joyfullxx
Staffies are softer than you think.

Firstly, Scott is she a hybrid? usually they are vaccinated against Mareks. Looking at her age and symptoms it could be Mereks or something similar called Lymphoid Leukosis. With mereks it is not uncommon for the disease to rear its head around POL, when the bird undergoes hormonal changes, as they are older, the disease onset is a little more subtle, however the end result I am afraid is usually fatal and it would be likely that all the birds would be infected, there is no cure, and survivors go on to be "shedders" and therefore will infect any "non-vaccinated" birds that they come into contact with.

 :(

All 3 of my girls are hybrids. Just read about LL and the symptoms are the same.

And to top it all, it looks like my broody hen is not broody any more and has abandoned her nest. All eggs are cold.

And my cat does not love me any more.......

Pets...Who would have em!!! Arghh!!!! :tongue2:

Scott, how long have you had these birds? Just been reading up and the incubation period can be anything upto 6 months . If it was me I wouldn't go back to the person that you got them from as their flock may be infected (without them knowing - owing to the long incubation period - but if your vet does confirm thats what it is then I would notify them). Keep us informed what the vet says, joyxx

I got them when they were 16 weeks old in Feb. So i make them coming up to 10 months old.
Took some pics tonight.

Is this toe ok??

Tail feathers down

She does not stand for long before dumping back on the ground.

She is eating, drinking. But she is not laying any eggs. Two days now.
You know i really think she has broken a toe!!!!
She has no lice, no mites, vent is clear. Wattle red and bright. No eye discahrge, no wheezing.

I would be inclined to try straightening it (without forcing it) and splinting it. It could be that she's in pain. Worth a try.

I have gently moved it back into position and she does not complain at all. If anything it feels rather limp. But then she does move it??

Yes, i believe there is one in Snodland about 5 mins drive from me. I think there is a listing at the back of Practical Poultry magazine.

Only problem is i wont be able to get there until Saturday morning!
