segregation...how long?

segregation...how long?

iv isolated the one of my girls that is a bully...put her in a wee pen of her own..not very big as the chick guy in the town told me to make it a 'bit' uncomfortable as to make her appreciate her regular pen/run etc...so how long will it take and what procedure do you go for?

I seperated two of mine for 4 days, when they came out they were fine for a few days and then one went back to her old ways, the other though has become so sweet and lovely  :D

If segregation for a couple of days doesn't work you could try using beak clips (got mine from The Domestic Fowl Trust - £1 for 8 inc p&p - www.domesticfowltrust.co.uk). These are supposed to prevent the beak closing onto a feather but still allow the hen to eat and drink.
