hi every one am normally on gyo forum but was looking for an answer to my question on my viola.They seem to have gone yellow and died,and while taking dead parts away discovered loads of little flea like thingys!!!were cream in colour .so 2 questions what are they? and will my plants come back next year ? they dropped loads of seed before they died and i have now cleared pots and put some ant powder down hoping that will kill whatever it is off.

I normally treat Violas as annuals, they tend to get whitefly (though your description doesn't sound like that).

Were they planted recently or overwintered?

i bought them from shop in april been in since then .

Hmm, sounds a bit early to be dying off - are you sure they got enough water?  Were there any grubs e.g. vine weevils in  the compost?

They had plenty of water but was definatly something in soil when i looked yesterday put some ant powder down as it was all i had to hand.Hopefully will have better luck next yr they have been in flower since april tho so cant complain.
