Asparagus Fern

Does anybody stake theirs or just leave it to fall all over the place? My one year old crowns haven't put up the strongest shoots, and now they are top heavy and lolloping around. Thanks

My first year with them too and the strong winds here by the sea have blown them over. I think I will use some clematis netting next year stapled to the bed sides so they can grow through it yet not be flattened.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

If they are allowed to fall over it may spoil the crowns. Put a stake each end of the row, . Fix a strand of wire each side at about 3 ft high. Tie the strands together every 3 ft.
