Storing Spring Onions
« on: July 01, 2009, 20:48 »
Hi all,

In need of a bit of advice!

Had a glut of spring onions, about 300!  Is there any way of storing/freezing them as I am sure I will get fed up of eating spring onions in everything before long?

Reason I have pulled them all up ( and my main crop onions too) is due to suspected downy mildew.

Many thanks for any advice.

Don't actually know, but can they be chopped up and frozen in a flat layer, then you can put them in a bag once frozen and take them out a bit at a time?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
