Hi, tomorite is unsuitsble for cucs it's high potash, you need high nitrogen something like seaweed liquid or chempack high nitrogen i think it's No. 1

Hmm....I spotted a bottle of Cucumber and Tomato feed in B&Q the other day...

I've been giving my 4 cucs tomato feed at the same time as the toms, they're doing ok with plenty of fruit...

Oops, I've also been using tomato feed also ... though mine seem fine - loads of fruits, leaves fine.

I would stick to the high potash tomato feed - this is for flowers and fruit, i.e. tomatoes or cucumbers.    A high nitrogen feed will just give the plant leaves like elephant ears.

Tomato feed for my cucumbers, peppers, chilli's, courgettes and strawberries too, I only use half measure on these though and the full measure on my tomatoes.

Everything is growing in abundance and delicious too boot so they don't seem to be complaining (yet).

Hi, thanks Yabba, i was begining to doubt my own advice, there's a definite difference between cucs and toms hence the different feeding.

Everybody in my garden, whether you be flower, fruit or vegetable on a Sunday gets a dose of tomato food.  Never had any problems and have not heard anybody complain. Mind you the sweet peas get two doses a week and I've now run out of vases to put the cut ones in.

Hi JD ... don't be to relieved, I only know this stuff by hitting google ... but if you can't trust Medwyn's advice then you may as well save your connection fee and listen to OBND ..

Hi, i wonder is it just easier while feeding the toms to feed the cucs as well, if you get a result your happy with fair enough, and no need to change feeds.
