Hello guys and girls,

Been a long time since I have posted on here !

Just to let you guys know and to say thanks for the advice I have my first crop !

Got a lovely bunch of carrots and loads of courgettes (with many more to come) with everything else growing well, Pots, Butternut, Beans, Peas, Beetroot, Onions, Leeks and got some Sweetcorn going in on Saturday

oh and the tree I was going to cut down.......... turns out to be a plum tree with plenty of fruit showing !

All this from a plot that was covered in brambles and marestail last year and was under 2ft of water in the winter.

Learned to live with it ! Let it grow till about 18 inches tall then pull out (if on an unused bed) other wise hoe and weed as per norm.

been told that it should be gone in about 10 years !

This plot along with Pete C's when we took over was covered in brambles, matrestail and coutes-grass. After many hours and lots of work even when it was 2 ft under winter in the water here are the first of my photos.
