I don't want to have a furtle yet, in case I disturb anything, but is there a general timeline that anyone can give, re planting, leaves, tubers, flowers and harvesting please?
I know some varieties can be harvested about 9 - 12 weeks from planting, but it the inbetween bits! Thanks

Around the time the flowers form and they continue to grow in size until the plants start to yellow. Got flowers - got to furtle!

My earlies haven't flowered or grown very much and the leaves on some of them are yellow, some have lots of lovely spuds under, some nothing and the tubers have rotted.

Mine dont have any flowers yet but when I run out of my store bought ones I'm going to have a peek

Are flowers a definite sign there's something down there, or will they flower if they feel like it, without producing tubers? Its my first tattie year, so I know I've got some lovely looking potato bushes, but they're not a lot of use if there's nothing down there to look forward to

Oh they can do that if they've half a mind to.

I've had 3 foot high, flowering foliage, with nothing below.

Maybe I'll have a ferk in a couple of weeks then - they've been in since mid April, so that'll be 8 weeks...wish me luck folks...I really want a spud I can call my own

we dug up our 16 school earlie plants today and have around 5lb of lovely new potato-sized spuds.  1/2 dozen went straight into pot, fresh mint and butter added and robert's your mother's brother - gorgeous!!!!

My main crop,, three foot high hallums are all going yellow at the base and the plants are falling over, we water every night, surely thils is  too early"

I was lead to beleive when the flowers stop coming and die off it's time to dig them up.

Seems to be a lot of the odd yellowing and wilting plants about, reading all these pot posts.

Well my earlies have some lovely haulms, but no flowers yet and when I had a furtle of one last week, the spuds were tiny still
