F1 Pumpkin question.
« on: June 02, 2009, 13:18 »
Hi folks,
If i put 2 different varieties of Pumpkin (F1) together, will they  cross pollinate?
I went over the top with different types this year.
Thanks.
John.

They will cross pollinate but this won't effect eating quality, it just means that you will not be able to save seed from them to sow next year :)

Technically you could save seed but it would not grow like the parent plant, you may get something interesting or something quite inferior
Playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!
