« on: May 24, 2009, 17:24 »
my plant has grown its first truss, it has one large flower on end, maybe half inch wide followed by smaller flowers.  problem is thats it no growing tip.  is this normal?   there is a side shoot i have not nipped out lower, is it worth growing this as a new leader?  thanks.

The big flower is typical of the beefsteak tomatoes...is this the type you are growing?
Do you know the variety as this could also explain the lack of growing tip, if it's a bush type. So can you let us know a bit more, please?
