our local store in Derby said that they're trialling in a few stores and if goes well it will soon be available in all stores :)

i ordered all my stuff on line as i dont drive and was easy to get them to do it for me and deliver and i agree with ya that there in store stock is poor . After more research though i have found they are expensive on things like layers pellets and corn and i wish i had shopped around . But we learn from our experiences i suppose .

You're better off going to places like Countrywide or similar. Even better is a feed merchant or horse feed supplier.
Some bigger pet shops might stock top of the range organic stuff at about £15-20 per bag.

You should be looking to pay between about £7-£12/20kg depending on make and type.
Tricky if you have no transport. Maybe cheaper to hire a taxi and buy 3 or 4 at a time from your nearest supplier ?

as well as being expensive for layers pellets i have just checked the bags i ordered in bulk which arrived yesterday and 3 bags are out of date . I never thought to check as you automatically expect the dates to be good on these things .

I'd get on the phone and demand a swap at their expense. Or trading standards could pay them a visit with a phone call. Profiteering is unforgiveable but when they try and con you too they deserve to go under. >:(
