It starts today - my only problem is I've no home grown veggies (yet) to celebrate with

Perhaps a week later in the year would be helpful ..... but suppose those who've been growing for a while will have winter crops to draw on 

Moderator can I start a poll to nominate a week week for home growers?

Link it to harvest festival season perhaps, remind people where vegs and grain etc comes from and that it is not from Tescos. Good chance to do the green miles and healthy exercise and green gym stuff as well

I like the idea of linking to the harvest festival, only problem is my birthday is last week of september and I wouldn't want to rule meat out then. So I would sooner do it first week in october

I love Veg, but only if it goes with meat. I think I would give up veg if it didn't have something to go with
