Poll

The Vegetarian Society's "National Vegetarian Week" starts today 18th May. Its a bit early for lots of home grown veg to celebrate with. Should we have a "National Home Grown Veggie Week" later in the year to celebrate our efforts? Wee

National Vegetarian Week

It starts today - my only problem is I've no home grown veggies (yet) to celebrate with :(

Perhaps a week later in the year would be helpful ..... but suppose those who've been growing for a while will have winter crops to draw on  :)

Moderator can I start a poll to nominate a week week for home growers?

You may start any poll (within reason!), that you care to.

Just bear in mind that nominating a specific week would mean a poll with 52 options!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

If you wish you can add a poll to this thread by clicking the errr "Add Poll" button at the top or bottom of the page.

Or you can start a new thread, but instead of the "New Topic" option, chose "New Poll", it's quite self explanatory once you're under way.

I have a hard enough time eating my daily fruit and Veg allowance, never mind having to eat a whole Vegetarian as well!

Link it to harvest festival season perhaps, remind people where vegs and grain etc comes from and that it is not from Tescos. Good chance to do the green miles and healthy exercise and green gym stuff as well

When I saw the options I thought about the Harvest Festival season also, as being more appropriate.

Thanks RichardA & DD - I thought I'd suggested a week late September, but its come out as wee on the poll - perhaps I'd better modify it in case anybody out there thinks I'm taking the ***s ???  Have added another option for voting  8)

I like the idea of linking to the harvest festival, only problem is my birthday is last week of september and I wouldn't want to rule meat out then. So I would sooner do it first week in october

I love Veg, but only if it goes with meat. I think I would give up veg if it didn't have something to go with  ::)
