insulation in greenhouse
« on: May 14, 2009, 13:56 »
Hi, could any of you give me some advice on the bubble wrap insulation in my greenhouse, would I be able to take it down to allow more light in. There are days when I work so don't always have time to put everything outside, there is an automatic window vent and I leave the door open. This is my first greenhouse so not sure about what to do and when.

I would leave the bubble wrap in place as it works like double glazing and lets in enough light.
Cheese makes everything better.

A quid a metre!

If someone asked you for that, they saw you coming.

I paid about 10p a metre for mine. Bubble wrap is more like triple glazing.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Will leave it up then, thanks for the info, I get the plants out most days, but some look to be going a bit leggy, thought it might just let a bit more light in. The bubble wrap was £14 less 20% off at homebase for an 8x6 greenhouse.
One more question though, I have all my bedding plants in there and it is the petunias that are going a bit leggy could I pinch the top out or should I just leave them.
