Leeks
« on: May 13, 2009, 15:52 »
As room is limited in my garden veg patch, I'll soon have some room coming up as i'm moving my strawberrys as soon as they have fruited.
I love leeks but have never had any luck growing them. Is it to late to sow them now?
I may take my time.....but i'll get there in the end.

I hope it's not too late as I've just had to sow some more as my first germination was not good enough.

No - go for it! You don't have to plant out until mid sumer with lots of them, and they can sit in the ground in cold conditions over the autumn and winter months, and be harvested then ::)

I hope not either, the cats have used some of mine as a bed! >:(
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Could have been worse, they could have used them as a litter tray ;)

You may have hit upon something there - you obviously know what they were growing in!

I do, and if my faster synapses and extended memory were up to scratch I'd have posted your picture by now ;)

... are you really, really, really sure they can just replace me? :(
