Aphids on blackcurrent
« on: May 11, 2009, 14:47 »
Under every leaf of my blackcurrant tree and honeysuckle are aphids. I am reluctant to spray with a bug gun and have not the time to turn over every leaf and squash them (the honeysuckle is high up the wall) I have so far sprayed with soapy water but this will not kill them.

Any better advice ?

are you it hasn't killed them?  soapy water is usually very effective on aphids, but they might have died while still sucking their last bit of plant juice and are still stuck to the plant  ;)
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.
Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.
