As a first time vine grower can anyone help with this



The vine was planted last year and cut back over winter, I guess the transparent balls are eggs, does anyone know of which pest and how to get rid of them?

Are they eggs or sap? Vines have been know to effectively bleed to death if cut back wrongly. Doubt its the case with this photo tho

I assume they are eggs?

I followed instructions on how to cut the vine back, so I’m sure its not sap (fingers crossed) the plant looks healthy enough (again fingers crossed)

fingers crossed - but if it seems healthy all is probably Ok from your pruning. I've never had anything like that on my vine or none that I've noticed. My main problem is that it just produces flowers when it feels like it

Is this a grapevine plant? If so, there are 2 specific ways to prune depending on the variety....cane pruning or spur pruning. You'd need to know the variety and find out which type of pruning it best responds to to get the fruit you expect.

As for the 'eggs', you can either rub them off if only a few, or spray with a soapy solution to suffocate the eggs.

They are water droplets, the plant is transpiring.
