It WAS, Dave

Problem was, I have no wheelbarrow & am not strong, and horse poo is heavy when fresh...so I got fed up of struggling carrying it home.

It's also embarrassing when the handles snap - right outside someone else's house, as is always the case.

Much easier to have it brought to my door, and already rotted  :)

Hi

You need to borow a horse and a few hessian sacks.  I have had more than my fair share of accidents concearning muck, it was usually cow muck though!  hehe

Cheers

So have I Dave, and pacifying angry neighbours that I will be back to clear up the mess in just five minutes.

Oh dear, it's all coming back to me now....like when you know that the handles are going any minute now....and put on a frantic little spurt

Nope, I'm sticking with my delivery!

"It's from an organic farm if that makes a difference, well looked after cows too"

I would ask if fodder has been bought in and if so if the provinence is known. It has been known for contractors to "manage" pastures and for the owner not to known what sprays have been used.

"aminopyralid" is the culprit herbicide to be avoided (it is used on the pasture but residue remains in the hay / silage and on into the manure remaining active for a year or more).

Hi

Well two tonne was dumped this evening on a fellow allotment holders plot, another 2 tonnes tomorow I think on another plot, and 2 more on Tuesday on yet another plot.

We soon moved todays load into the box.  It is really good stuff!

I will be getting mine later in the year, but will have to barrow mine down the little path that leads to my plot, so will have to get the 2 wheeled barrow down for that!

Cheers

Dave
