alternatives to cane toppers.....

apart from buying cane toppers, I wondered what you used to top the canes in your garden? I read on another site that some1 uses snail shells!!  :lol:

Little plastic Actimel/Benecal bottles are on some of mine, i've even seen aluminium drinks cans being used on the lotties round the corner

I have some really tiny flowerpots that I put over mine and some people use drinks bottles, but someone just said that!!!! doh!!

Actimel style bottles sound just right though, only I don't use the stuff!!! lol

I only started on benecal cos my cholesterel went up and the statins give me bad indigestion Grannie

I use coloured plasic clothes pegs on mine, they double up to keep netting in place too.

Not so much canes as I use lengths of roofing lathes to hold nets up and then top with old pots especially square ones to protect the nets.
in my granddaughters patch of garden we use little yoghourt pots that she collects - need to get them in to proper gardeners habits early
