Organic Garden do a dwarf bean called Canadian Wonder that produces a bean after drying recommended for chillis that is red and barlotta (climber) and cannelinno (dwarf)beans that are white. But I also know kidney beans to be the local name for runner beans and cannot see any reason not to dry them and use in stews etc as I think was done in the past.

The runner bean variety czar was bred for the beans rather than the pod
