Mice, Spinach Seed, Eaten.
« on: March 18, 2009, 17:43 »
I planted a large tray of Spinach seed yesterday, and put them in my plastic house.
Today the top of the compost is strewn with nibbled shells! I have found about 3 seeds intact out of about 60! Nothing else was touched. Have set up humane trap, will report back.  My question is, is spinach a favorite of mice? Or were they disturbed?

If they're hungry mice will eat almost anything including grass seed, green tomatoes, beans, peas, etc
