New spade!
« on: March 14, 2009, 20:10 »
We needed a new spade as our old Wilky Sword had cracked across the blade just below the handle joint a while back. I'd welded the crack up but it's still not as strong as I need (never was to be honest, always used to flex if I was lifting hard ground). So after a bit of a look I ended up with one of these http://www.toolmix.com/browse/product.asp?pid=80860&s52cnc=FROOGLE-UK&s52r=FROOGLEUK and it is superb. Digging over the compacted bits of the allotment is a lot easier due to the longer handle and being a long * meself it made digging that much less painful for my spine! Anyone looking for a new spade would do well to look at one of these :)
Blimey! You mean you can *grow* things in soil?
